John Power is an award-winning artist, director, and producer creating new media projects and large public media installations using real-time VR, AR, visual effects, and ambient screen media. John has toured and exhibited nationally and internationally. John is passionate about fostering creativity, learning, communication, and competency for students preparing to enter industry, research, and changing careers. John’s recently completed practice-led PhD combined new media practice and ethnography to develop design methods for using public digital screens as Calm Technology for attention restoration and place making.
