Shigenori Mochizuki 

Shigenori Mochizuki, is an Associate Professor in the College of Image Arts and Sciences, Ritsumeikan University, Japan, and has been researching the development of interactive digital media art technologies to provide new approaches to societal problems such as “difficulties in childcare,” “difficulties in caring for individual in aged care,” and “difficulties in disability”. 

Through his research, Shigenori Mochizuki has been developing digital devices and software using microelectronic sensors, as well as organizing civic workshops and creating performing arts with people with disabilities using these technologies. The research is conducted on the facilities and environment of the College of Image Arts and Sciences, Ritsumeikan University, which offers education and research in film, animation, games, and new media arts, and has established research exchanges and significant collaboration with RMIT University.
